| JOSH DYBUS NAMED SKYLINE CONFERENCE MEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK | ||||
Richard
Stockton freshman attack Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s
Prep) was named the Skyline Conference Men’s Lacrosse Rookie
of the Week yesterday evening. Dybus led the Ospreys to
two wins last week by scoring a team-high 11 goals. With the victories,
Stockton built a three-game winning streak and improved to 6-5 overall and
4-3 in conference games.
Dybus netted seven goals in a 15-3 victory over Mount St. Vincent on April 11. The seven tallies were the most by any Stockton player in a single game this season. Dybus followed with a team-high four goals in a 12-9 victory over Farmingdale State on Saturday. After scoring twice in the first half, Dybus snapped a 9-9 tie with the game-winning goal early in the fourth quarter and added an insurance marker five minutes later. Dybus has played in all 11 games during his rookie season and registered 20 goals plus seven assists for 27 points. He ranks third on the team in goals and points. Stockton is currently fifth in the Skyline conference, a half-game behind Kean, who the Ospreys will face on the road tomorrow night at 7 pm. |
