Vaccination Recommendations
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that anyone who is at risk of complications from influenza, or more likely to require medical care; receive their seasonal ‘flu’ vaccination. Those who are at high risk include athletes who have asthma, lung disease or any chronic illness. Richard Stockton College offers vaccinations for the seasonal flu in the Sports Center on 11/4 and 11/12 in Big Blue from 9-3. The cost for this vaccination is $30. If you do not wish to receive the vaccination at Richard Stockton College, we recommend that you see your Primary Care Physician to receive the seasonal flu vaccine.

The CDC is also recommending the Pneumococcal PolySaccharide Vaccine (PPSV) for treatment of pneumococcal infections for those who are at high risk for developing an infection. Those who are at high risk include athletes who have asthma, lung disease or any chronic illness. Richard Stockton College does provide the PPSV on 11/4 and 11/12 in Big Blue from 9-3. The cost for this vaccination is $30. If you do not wish to receive the vaccination at Richard Stockton College, we recommend that you see your Primary Care Physician to receive the PPSV.

This year, the H1N1 vaccination is being introduced. The CDC is recommending that all college-aged students up to age 24 and those that are 25-64 who have chronic medical conditions receive this vaccination. Richard Stockton College does provide the H1N1 vaccination on 11/14 and 11/12 in Big Blue from 9-3. The cost for this vaccination is $15. If you do not wish to receive the vaccination at Richard Stockton College, we recommend that you see your Primary Care Physician to receive the H1N1 vaccine.

All students are welcome to walk in to receive their vaccinations. Students must have their student ID and insurance card with them in order to receive the vaccination. Those who have Stockton College’s student insurance may apply for reimbursement for vaccination fees.
