Baseball Dealing With Multiple
Injuries
The baseball team has been hit with several injuries over the
last few weeks.
Matt Hunt (P/1b) injured his elbow while pitching.
He was diagnosed with an ulnar collateral injury of his elbow.
He will not return to pitching for the remainder of the season.
He is scheduled for an MRI to further reveal the extent of the
injury. He will be able to play 1st base and hit in games. Hunt
had 2-1 record with 5 starts and 23 innings pitched at the time
of his injury.
Joe
Santillo (3b) is going to miss the remainder of the season
with a low back injury. Santillo is suspected of having a herniated
disc in his lumbar spine. He is also scheduled for an MRI to further
evaluate his injury. Santillo was hitting .278 in 16 games played
with 9 RBI and 5 doubles.
Pat
Clark (P) is going to miss the remainder of the season
with an elbow injury. He was diagnosed with biceps insertion tendonitis
and medial epcondylitis. Clark is also scheduled to get an MRI
to rule out any ulnar collateral ligament injury. Clark was 2-0
in 2 starts and 4 appearances for the Ospreys when his injury
occured.
AJ Senerchia (C) has been dealing with a shoulder
injury since the beginning of the season. He was diagnosed with
a avulsion injury of his inferior glenohumeral ligament. However,
AJ elected to put off surgery until the end of season, and has
been attempting to get through the season with limited throwing
and regular rehab. Senerchia is batting .516 in 16 games played
with 4 doubles and 6 RBI.
