Ternosky Undergoes ACL Surgery

Leanne Ternosky underwent ACL surgery on Tuesday 10/31/06 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Her own patellar tendon was used as her ACL graft. She also had a meniscal tear that was addressed in the surgery. She is sophomore midfielder on the women's soccer team.

Ternosky injured her knee on 9/20/06 in a game against TCNJ. It was a non-contact ACL injury. The injury occurred to her plant leg while she was attempting to redirect a pass. She then completed about 3 weeks of "prehab" to regain her range of motion and return as much quad and hamstring strength as possible. She is expected to begin post surgery rehab with Athletic Training Services on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Her rehab is expected to last approximately 6 months.
