McKenna Will Miss Entire 2006 Season
Tim
McKenna will miss the entire 2006 soccer season due to a Grade
3 hip flexor strain. He injured his kicking leg back in early
August while the team was playing in Costa Rica. McKenna injured
his rectus femoris during a punt. During the 2005 Season he was
the goalkeeper in 14 games for Stockton.
Tim began rehab with Stockton Athletic Training 5 days per week
beginning on August 21st. "Tim has put out a lot of work
to get back this season. However, since the injury involved a
key muscle for his punting and goal kicks we were unable to get
him back this season. It was a pretty serious muscle injury for
a goalkeeper. We are presently just getting him through fairly
aggressive agility drills and we haven't even begun any kicking
yet.", commented Jon Heck, MS, ATC, Coordinator of Athletic
Training.
Currently McKenna will continue his rehab program and we fully
expect him to be ready for the spring soccer season in 2007.
