Travel Literature (1-2 credits)

Why have travel books been popular with authors and readers for well over three hundred years? This reading list examines travel literature written during the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth centuries. Conventions of non-fiction and fiction travel works will be identified and compared, and their effects studied.
