Whether
or not one is attracted to linear thinking, there are historical reasons
to respect and examine the linear order of world events. Even modern pop-culture
demands this respect by insisting in many ways that to tamper with the
past, if time travel were an option, is to hazard altering the world as we know
it. At least half of all the sci-fi features ever made are examples of this.
One step in the wrong or perhaps in the right direction could change everything.
