Meeting Agenda

 

1. Some important upcoming events:  

A. Academic Affairs will hold a Program Review in Campus Center Theater.

Thursday, Feb 2, 2012 at 4:30 P.M.
Please make every effort to attend.
Our collective presence is important!

B. President Saatkamp will address the Faculty Assembly about the state of the college on Tuesday February 14, 2012 at 4:30 in the CC Event Room A.

C. We are in to process of inviting Dr. Mary Burgan, the author of "What ever happened to the Faculty" to present some ideas to the Faculty Assembly Meeting planned for March 20, 2012, at 4:40, place to be announced. I would also like ask for a panel of discussants. Dr. Robert Nichols has already agreed and I am asking for two or three others.

D. A nominating committee for at large senators has been charged and will be contacting faculty to serve as senators for the next academic term as well as soliciting committee chairs.  

2. Financial Planning Proposal (attached and informational.)

3. A vote on the APC Course Withdrawal Package. Please read this thoroughly. We had an opportunity for quite a bit of discussion on this compromise at the last Senate meeting and now we must vote.

4. A discussion and (hopefully) a vote on the recommendations of the First Year Studies Working Group.
